What we did in Stackpole today

Today we got up and had breakfast , for breakfast we had a variety of bacon, scrambled egg and toast or cereal.
Then we checked the board and looked for our group name Barnacles. We usually have to wear what it says on the board , so that's what we did and It said for biking we had to wear jogging bottoms or leggings , waterproof trousers and a waterproof coat , layers of warm clothes , a bag , a bottle of water , warm gloves , wellies and thick socks. Then we went on the bike riding and we both found it very challenging but it was really fun!
Then we went canoeing and we had to wear our swimming costume , thick socks , shoes for getting wet , layers of warm clothes and a towel. And then we went canoeing and shaheryar , Ben and Alex capsized on their canoe. It was SOOO funny!and we were allowed to go in the water after.

Today we started by going canoeing. We went with Mark and Mr Britton we had to put all our wet gear on before we set of to go canoeing. We had to put on a life jacket, waterproof coat and a wet suit.

When we arrived there Mark taught us how to get into the canoe and hold a paddle properly and how to use it. He also told us originally where canoes are from, surprisingly the red Indians used them in Canada.

Later on we all had to get out the canoes from the trailer on the van. After that we all got into our canoes and started paddling in the water to see how good we were. Mr.Britton and Rachel were the best because they knew how to paddle in a straight line. Later on we had a game where it was boys vs girls, except Mr.Britton was with the girls. When the game started immediately Mr.Britton splashed us, however straight after Mr.Britton got distracted and we scored a point we led by one point until the last minute when the girls scored in the dying seconds! It finished one all. We really enjoyed canoeing and we hope we can do it again in later life.

Later on we had orienteering, with Matt in the woods. When we got there Matt gave us a map of the woods and there was a key of what different things were.We also had a sheet of paper so when we went to the post we could stamp to say that you had found the post, after that we went to the hidden bridge and behind it were these foreign plants that had overgrown,we had to pull them out of the ground for our John Muir award we had to pull them out because they were over running and killing the British plants on the bank. When we went back we had a delicious curry for dinner.  😘

Prawns super good blog!!!!!
THURSDAY 26th

Today we started with a 2 hour walk,we were really tired but we saw a lot of birds, lots of cliffs and 1 big blow hole. After the walk we arrived at a steep sloped hill which we climbed up. We all had at least 1 go and some people had 2 goes if they wanted to. When we finished we got in the mini bus to go back to the centre because the crabs went on the mini bus to get to the climbing.
When we got back to the centre we tried to pack as much as we could because we were leaving on Friday. After dinner we had to write in our diary because we can take them home for our memories at Stackpole.

Hi everyone today was AMAZING!!!!
For breakfast we had the ultimate and extreme bacon and scrambled eggs it was lush! Also on the side was a slice (or two) of toast! When we got told what we were doing today, the blennies where doing orienteering in the woods and helping grow some saplings! The saplings had stopped growing because of all those horrible brambles!! But now we may have helped the next generation of kiddies! Everyone helped clear the brambles and everyone did an amazing job of clearing out the brambles!
Next was orienteering. We got split into three teams and we got sent out to find each individual number and stamp. It was really fun!!!! We all really enjoyed it because we got to look around the woods of Stackpole and use our map reading skills.
We then had rocky shores, (rock pooling). Our task was to go out and find as many types of species we could including a few species like limpets. Our best catch was a blennie but we also caught a huge crab that tried to eat the other seven crabs and the blennie.
Thanks for reading Tom's and Jack's blog!

Today we began the day by making our packed lunches and heading off to do rock climbing. We all had 2 goes and all made it to the top we were really brave 😊 we also all absailed down to the bottom 🎉🎉 ( Mr Crocker even did it! )😐. After rock climbing we ate our lunch on the beach and went off to do our coastal walk😮. The coastal walk was very long and we learnt a lot of information about the Stackpole Coast!!🙊🔥. Later in the evening we ate our delicious dinner and bought bits and bobs from the Stackpole shop💰💸💵💷💶💴🍛🍴

Today was right in the middle of our trip. Breakfast was delish yum yum yum! We had cereal, porridge, sausage, toast and spaghetti hoops. This morning, we went mountain biking. We were all worn to the bone, but the day wasn't over yet! According to some of our friends in the other groups, the Costal Walk/Rock Climbing "was 6 hours of my life that I will never get back". (Thank you Jess Fudge for that encouraging comment!!)

After our lunch, which was a salad bar with a cupcake, amazing!! we went Rock Pooling on a mini bus. When we got there we went straight to the rocks. There, we found some crabs, sea snails and a blenny. Blennys are sooo cute! When our instructor Ben showed us all the creatures, we took the seaweed and the blenny home. Areej was so brave, she held a massive alive crab that was definitely NOT tiny and dead!

It was a very exhausting day, but tomorrow we are out all day rock climbing etc!

We started the day with a fantastic breakfast of sausage, beans, porridge and cereal. Then we hit the minibus to go rock climbing with Matt, our team leader. When we arrived at our destination we put our harnesses and helmet on #ready. While Matt was getting ready for us to go climbing we were practising traversing back and forth across and when Matt was ready we were ready to attack the big one #rockclimbing. We all managed to get to the top in the end and had a challenge which was either  to do the stick of destiny or try the wall blind folded. After rock climbing we went on a VERY VERY VERY long walk home back to the Stackpole centre. When we arrived back we had to do some orienteering around the complex. Now it's bed time, night all...

Hi it's your favourite zumbazizers Sadie and Sophie!
Today was canoeing it was so fun until we fell into the water but luckily we were in the shallow end .
Then we went bike riding it was so fun! but I fell down the hill at top speed and I forgot to hold the brakes . 😀😊😄😃😀😊😄😃😀😊 .
So we've run out of time fans but we'll be back goodbye.

Today we went coast walking along the beach and the forest. We went on a massive sand dune with our leader Mark. He took us up to see the sheep up close THERE WAS POO EVERYWHERE. Then he took us bird watching along the clifs of Stackpole. He showed us a massive dich I forgot what the specific name was. After that we went to a blow hole it was middle sized. Next we went to the beach and we had lunch and we also had a competition making something we saw. By sharheyar

After all that we finally went to the local quarry for some climbing after are instructor did are harnesses we finally started making are way to the top of the wall me personally I made it to the top twice and halfway once after we did a competition for climbing we won with Ben blindfolded it was hard!!!!
Tonight we went orienteering round Stackpole! In teams of three  we had to find letters hid around Stackpole centre! The end Paolos blog!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😂😂😄 having a great time here---both of us,!!!!😂😂😂

Hello, Huw, Evan and Sam here
We started off the day with going to the woods. We started by going on a long walk down the hill of doom and through the house of Cordor and into a big area of land.we got into teams and Jackie (our team leader) explained the rules.the teams were Evan,Adil,Ewan and Ella J. Huw, Iestyn and Ella p. And Sam, EllaT, Alister and George.
Then Jackie gave us maps. Then we had to orientate our maps. We set off and we had to find 10 points. We all found the 10 points in under 25 minutes!

After that we had lunch... Ham salad, mmmmm. After lunch we went rock pooling at Freshwater East (same beach where Doby died). We found some crabs, blennies, and shrimp. Jacket potatoe for tea! After tea we went in the dark to the woods to follow a rope trail...BLINDFOLDED! Mr. Crocker was scaring people by whispering in their ears, it was proper scary.

Tomorrow we are rock climbing and going on a costal walk.

Today we had breakfast ,it was cereal and porridge for starters and then for the main course we had a choice of bacon, scrambled egg or toast. For drink we could have orange juice, squash or tea or all of them.
Then we had the morning activity which was walking in the woods, cutting brambles.First we went to a place where we could cut the brambles, we got lots of cuts and thorns in fingers. We swapped jobs so two people had to grab the brambles and put them into a massive pile (it was very hard) and the the rest had to grab the roots and pull it out of the ground. After that we went orienteering, it is fun, we had to read the map and find the posts so we could whole punch the laminated piece of paper. There were 10 different posts and lots of paths leading to them. Most of the group got 5 or more holes punched. After lunch we went canoeing,we fell in lots and it was very very very very cold and fun, we played lots of games and by the end we could barely move our fingers or our toes.It has been excellent. My favourite part of the day has been canoeing because we got to work together in groups at lots of different fun games...

Hello, today in Stackpole we had breakfast we had a variety to choose from including cereals porridge toast scrambled egg bacon, squash, juice, milk and tea . Then we set off to our activity , our first activity of the day was orienteering .we went to the woods and we were given maps to find different posts with pinholes to clip our pieces of paper.next we did weeding brambles to help the environment. We pull out the roots of the weed then we put it in a pile. Eventually the weeds will decompose and make compost.
In the afternoon we got on the mini bus and went to Fresh water West. We did rock pooling. Jackie found a crab and a fish. Then we went back to the centre and had tea. After tea we had hot chocolate.

In the morning for breakfast we had a variety of food to choose from. There was cereal, toast, bacon, porridge, scrambled egg, tea, orange squash and orange juice. Then we were told what activity we were doing in the day. The Blennies (our group) had rock climbing and coastal walking.when we got to the rock climbing centre, mark couldn't find the ropes,so we did the walk instead. We had to go on a humungous walk, but we saw amazing views and beautiful landscapes. But as we kept going everyone started to get hungry and tiered. But then halfway through, Mark got a walkie talkie message that the ropes were in the silver bin. With that everyone was sooooooo unhappy and we were really annoyed.
But eventually we got back to the rock climbing centre.and it was sooooo fun!!!!!! Everyone had a go and the people who weren't having a go were pulling the ropes, and helping them come down when they'd had enough. We had a great day and were all exhausted!!!!!!!!! Then we had a orienteering activity in the night and it was amazing!!!!!!!!! Everyone had lots and lots of FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😄😄😄😄😄

Today the limpets and all the other groups started by waking up at half seven in the morning . After a lovely breakfast of cereal, bacon, scrambled eggs and porridge ,we went off to the bike shed to find the bikes we would be using,we then went mountain biking around the stackpole estate.first we started on a training course around the biking course in the front garden. once everyone was comfortable with their bike we set off down the hill of doom!!!! Then we jumped off our bikes and walked across the eight arch bride (which now only has seven arches) only to find that our instructor  Matt was cycling away from us in the opposite direction over the hill!😱 Later we discovered that Matt was leading us to the hidden bridge near the one arch bridge!!😄  For lunch we had a ham salad or just salad salad!! After we went on a minibus to Freshwater West to go rock pooling with Matt and the Barnicles!😄 We caught Blennys,Crabs,Dog wells water snails and shrimp!,When we got back we had spaghetti Bolognese for tea (which was delicious and scrummy!! After we went of in two big groups half of us went off to do the Night Trail!! Which is being blindfolded and following a rope around an obstacle course in the dark while being jump scared by the teachers😳😂 this made most of us scream! We had hot chocolate in the night and wrote this blog!!!😄
Crabs day of canoeing and mountain biking!!!! By Ella.P,  Ella.T and Ella.J.

At 5 to 10 we met up to put our wet suits on. Then a mini bus took us to the quarry and we saw a sign saying 'warning: cold water' and it was right! Ella t, Ella p and Mr Crocker capsized twice in their canoe and the Ella's put all the blame on Mr Crocker #lol . After we finished Ack said that if we wanted to we could jump in so Ella j ,Iestyn , George and Evan jumped in, it was absolutely freezing . Our hands and feet were like ice, we were shivering . When we got back we took off our wet suits and had a nice warm shower, it was so nice .🚣

In the afternoon, our group (the crabs) went mountain biking, we went out to get our bikes then went to do a safety check. After that, we set off. Riding on rocky ground we started off by going down The Hill of Doom! We were out riding for 2 and a half hours and we learned a lot about the environment and about the people who used to live there.  Luckily nobody fell and we all got back safely. 😝 🚲

After all the activities half of us went on a night line walk over the eight arch bridge. We  put blind folds on and held on to some rope walking up a sort of hill and some of the teachers made noises and scared us all and made us scream.

After all of this we write in our diaries to say what we have done 😄😃😀😝

I hope you are all very nearly packed. Remember a good nights sleep before the off! Have a brilliant time. I am thinking of you all enjoying the activities and the surroundings of beautiful Stackpole. Mrs P.

Today we arrived in stackpole! We went into our rooms to unpack, the names of the rooms were all called after animals you might find here! There was a kingfisher block and a shearwater block. Girls were downstairs boys were upstairs. The rooms are epic!!!! #😝 we then were told what our activity was for the afternoon. We went on a three mile walk to broad haven beach.but first we went to the eight arch bridge, and saw the old Campbell house. We explored the immense surroundings of Stackpole! We ate a yellow flower thing and a piece of garlic plant #beargrylls! Then we viewed broad haven beach by getting on our hands and knees and lying on our stomachs and looking over the cliffs 😃😃 After that we climbed down a LOAD of rocks  to get to the beach itself!! Next we met up with the other groups and went through a tunnel of rocks with a stream running through! It was great fun! We arrived at a service station to have a break
After that we went to Stackpole we arrived around 1:00, then we were introduced to Matt he told us where our rooms were and then we took our luggage to the rooms.
And we were told to make our beds.
Then we had lunch.
After lunch we went for a walk to a beach called Broad Haven.
On the way we had to cross the 8 arch bridge, then we went along the tree line and tasted some wild garlic.
On the way back we took a shortcut back to Stackpole.
When we were back we had dinner. After that we had a fire alarm drill.
It was ok seeing as we only had to do it once.
First we went on a long bus journey which took two hours!!! We found out our bedroom groups at port Abraham service station. We were all really excited!!! When we arrived at stack pole we went to our rooms to unpack. We then had lunch at the dining room. After we were fed we split into our groups. We were in the Blennies with miss tierney. Stackpole

Today we went to Stackpole. When we arrived we got off the bus and went into the centre. Stackpole is owned by the national trust and it is in Pembrokeshire. First we unpacked in our rooms and then got ready to go on a nature walk with our leader called Jackie she is really nice. Every now and again Jackie would stop us on the walk and tell us about the history of Stack pole . Dinner tonight was sausages, potatoes , carrots and gravy. For desert we had strawberry jelly with proper Pembrokeshire vanilla ice cream. We have enjoyed so far and we can't wait to do more amazing stuff.

Today we arrived at Stackpole Farm at around 1 o'clock. We were all exited yet nervous because of the challenges we were about to face. We went in to the dining room to meet some of the staff who worked for the National Trust. Then we went to our bedrooms to unpack. Once we were settled in we went down for lunchon the menu was a salad bar with bread rolls.
After that we were told to prepare for a trip to the beach,we set off following our leader Ben! We went past a meadow and a electric avenue farm josh/I tripped in to cow poo! When we arrived at broad haven we climbed over all the rocks and took a trip into a very dark cave indeed! (Secretly it was a bit scary!)
We followed Ben down the cave and unfortunately Areej tripped and caught her foot on the rocks but she was fine in the end.
After the beach we went back to the centre and had dinner sausage and veggies on the menu! They were the best sausages ever! (Sorry Mum),Khole.
So far definetly an unforgettable trip so far...
