Wi-fi at Stackpole is proving to be incredibly difficult so updating this blog has become an issue. As a result, updates will be completed via Twitter and @stackpole2016 as this is a lot easier to upload photos and short commentaries.
Apologies for this from all at Stackpole
Ps having an amazing time, children have been superb!!
Welcome to Stackpole 2016
Please stay tuned for updates of our time in Stackpole, including photos and blogs from our pupils whilst away. The countdown is now officially on... 5 days!!
Today, we hopped off the bus, groaning, not expecting what was to com... We started off with some brief rules and regulations that we must contribute to. We learnt the names of the staff, and they told us a little but about Stackpole. We then began getting our bed-clothing done and then made our way towards the dining rooms. Before long we got dressed into our trekking clothes and then, after all the fuss, we set off on our hike. We canted down a bumpy hill, which on the walk was the least of our worries. We reached a junction at the end of a boulevard, continuing on an extremely steep and rocky path. As we ascended towards the trees and barbed wife, we were told to look for badger markings and territories. They were small clearings, with a little ditch filled with badger excremental. After a bewildering trot up and down hills, we met up with all the other groups at broad haven beach and we just played around over there and then made our way back to the centre. We were basically shattered!
That was only the beginning.
