The children have all returned to school and appear to have settled well.
If you have any concerns at all please don't hesitate to call in either before or after school. For non urgent concerns Monday morning would be the best time to catch me.
Please could we ask again that children bring bags that are as small as possible to school. We do not have a separate cloakroom and so all bags have to be stored in the classroom.
Please encourage the children to complete the Abacus maths games.
Please see document below for ideas to help with spellings. It would be lovely to see two examples of practise in the children's books each week.
Our PE days will be Monday for outdoor games and Friday for indoor PE.
The children will bring their spellings home on a Monday. Please encourage them to practise them little and often throughout the week. Please could the books be returned to school on a Thursday in preparation for the test on Friday.
Homework books will come home on a Friday, please could these be returned by the following Wednesday to allow time for marking.
Please could you encourage your child to log on to their abacus maths games (link on homework page) These games are an excellent way of developing fluency in mental maths. The site also contains a number of helpful videos showing the calculation methods the children will be taught in class.
