Croeso i Blwyddyn Dau
Welcome to Year 2.
Our topic is Japan and The Rugby World Cup. On our immersion day we made origami cats, wrote in Japanese, danced to Japanese music and played rugby. It was bendigedig.
In Literacy our class book is The Twits by Roald Dahl. We have already enjoyed finding out about the characters Mr. and Mrs. Twit and the tricks that they play on each other.
In Numeracy we are practicing counting in 2s, 5s and 10s, ordering numbers and adding two digits together.
In Humanities we will be exploring Japanese houses and homes. We will compare Radyr Primary School to a school in Japan.
In Expressive Arts we will explore Japanese music and dance. In our Creative area we are busy creating a role-play area set in Tokyo in Japan.
Let's get this topic started Blwyddyn Dau!
On Thursday morning Mrs. Evans and Mrs. Jeffreys teach in our class.
The children will have spellings sent home on a Monday and Mathematics on a Friday.
Please remember your child's reading bag on their reading day.
