We sing with other local groups and schools, performing at various local events. We also work alongside the Performing Arts Club to form the ‘show choir’ who help the annual show come to life!
We have lots of fun games to play including Hop and Pop, Tumbling Monkeys and Buckaroo. We can also work together to build fantastic creations using Lego, sand and other construction kits.
We have lots of fun playing games such as Guess Who (Pwy wyt ti?), Bingo, Last Person Standing and we sing our favourite songs from Caru Canu. We always use our Welsh sentence patterns during our sessions.
We challenge ourselves in this lunchtime club with sudoku, word searches, crosswords and codebreakers. Alongside this, we also have a selection of fabulous games to play.
Chess club is for a mix of experienced chess players and pupils who are still learning the various rules and tactics, and is run by Mr Rees. We also play against other local schools at tournaments.
Every year we choose a different show to focus on for the year and perform it in the Summer term. Past performances have included Matilda and Peter Pan. This year we are performing The Lion King musical!
We meet every week and design and build themed worlds — e.g. castles, space stations, eco-villages, or historical landmarks. We like to recreate real places like the school, local town, or famous landmarks in Wales. We build together to learn about collaboration and share ideas.
Our lunchtime yoga club is open to children in years 3 and 4, where we enjoy learning lots of different types of Yoga and why it is important. Come and enjoy a relaxing lunchtime!
The lunchtime club meets twice a week, learning how to play the recorder and also how to read music in a fun way. We perform in assemblies and music showcase concerts.
