    2025-26 Workshops

Following on from the success of the previous parent workshops, on October 16th we welcomed parents to school to discuss and share various elements of the school curriculum that have been identified by both staff, and from previous parental feedback, as being helpful to share.

This year, the workshops focussed on:

    • Teaching reading and the importance of understanding led by Mrs Morgan
    • Positive wellbeing, what it looks like and how we do it, led by Mrs Riley
    • Using the curriculum for Wales in Radyr for excellent teaching and learning, led by Miss Jones
    • An anti-racist culture and ethos, led by Mrs Waghorn and Mrs Brind (CSC link)

A huge thank you to all the parents that came and engaged in the content and asked thoughtful questions, helping us to shape our school moving forward. The feedback at the end of the evening was helpful in planning what this looks like, but also as a result of this feedback, additional sessions were planned and have been delivered for early years parents to go through more specifically what reading looks like in school and how parents can support and help their children at home.

Some of the resources that were used on the evening have been shared below.

    2024-25 Workshops

A huge thank you to all the parents that joined us for our parent workshops on Wednesday 16th October, 2024. The event was well attended and a huge thank you to all parents who attended and for sharing feedback following the event, and also for our governors who gave up their time to come in and speak to parents about the work of the school and the governors role in this.

Several parents were unable to attend the event and have asked for resources to be shared so the presentations used have been added to this page for reference. This doesn't give all the information around the workshops but will give you a flavour of what was presented.
